About
the WB3W Logging Programs
|
|
|
|
These
Logging applications were originally written specifically with the
visually impaired Amateur Radio operator in mind, but can be used by
anyone interested in a basic, easy to use, logging program for the
current supported contests, with full LAN networking built in. All
fonts are much larger than normally available, especially the main data
input fields, where you would log your contact exchange. The default
text colors are a high contrast yellow on black, but there is an option
to allow each operator to customize these to their own individual
color preferences.
Additionally,
there is another feature that can be turned on to allow voice annunciation
upon entering the data input fields.
And,
if you run Mobile these large fonts really make a difference....

Here is a view of the main logging screen from the Mid Atlantic
QSO party program. All three of the current logging programs have this
same general look with the main difference being the exchange information,
and the scoring summaries on the bottom of the screen.
 The program
was designed to be used at a 1024 X 768 screen resolution, for maximum
benefit of the larger fonts, but includes an add-on utility that will also
allow it to automatically resize to 800 X 600 or other screen
resolutions for use on older monitors or laptops.

Beginning
in September 2006 the version number scheme is changing to be more
reflective off the actual date of the version.
It consists of the Year, Month, and Day. Therefore, a number of
6.9.7 would be 2006, September, Day 7.
